Managed Access places control over the KLIK system with a moderator, who manages users’ access to the display screen. Users are still required to install the KLIK app and enter the screen password, but only the moderator can initiate a streaming session for any of those users.
To enable Managed Access the moderator will start Conference Mode, from the KLIK Player. Select Enable Conference Mode from the Settings drop-down, then enter the default password as adminpwd.
The moderator’s Player now switches into Conference Mode, with three distinct sections. 1. The User List, 2. Player Controls and 3. The Screen Preview Window. In addition, the Standby Screen now displays a list of connected users.
The moderator may now select a user from the list by clicking on their device name. Doing so will capture the contents of the user’s screen and display them in the preview area. A streaming session can be initiated by pressing PLAY while the user name is selected, and ended by pressing STOP.
While the KLIK system is in Conference Mode, the PLAY button is hidden from all connected users’ players. A user may not initiate a streaming session. They can however PAUSE or STOP the session by clicking those controls. Users remain connected to KLIK even after they stop streaming, ready to be reconnected as needed.
KLIK Boks PLUS and PRO users may also activate and control Conference Mode using the supplied Remote Control.
Point the remote at the KLIK and press the Green Conference Mode button to enable or disable Conference Mode. Use the arrow keys on the remote to scroll between users and press OK to initiate a streaming session for the selected user. Press the BACK button to end a streaming session.
Conference Mode offers the greatest control over how and when users can stream to the display. It is the best choice for structured applications where a moderator is required to manage users access to the screen.
