The standby screen is displayed when the KLIK is on but not currently showing a user’s content and contains a mix of instructions, displayed in WHITE, and operational information shown in YELLOW.
Near the top of the screen is the default name currently assigned to this KLIK. The name can be changed easily to better reflect the room name or other desired information. We’ll cover that in a later section of this video.
Further down, KLIK displays the network it’s connected to and how it’s connected; either wirelessly or over a wired connection. Since KLIK isn’t connected to a network yet, it displays its own name, indicating the Wi-Fi ID that it is broadcasting. This is the Wi-Fi that we’ll be connecting to in the Setup segment of this video.
Below that, KLIK displays its current IP Address. The IP address is how the KLIK will be located on a network, and will be set up later. For now, KLIK displays the default IP address of 192.168.59.254.
Below that is the randomly-generated connection password. This is the password users will enter to authenticate to the KLIK.
Down at the bottom of the screen, KLIK displays information about its current operating mode. This information used to verify setup when troubleshooting connection issues.
The Ready for Connection message displays at the top of the screen, indicating that KLIK is ready for a user to start a streaming session.
