If a wired network connection to KLIK isn’t possible, then it can be connected using Wi-Fi.
A PC or Mobile device is needed for this step; PLUS and PRO models can also be set up using the wireless remote control.
Start by opening the Wi-Fi selection utility on the device, look for the KLIK by the name that’s displayed on the Standby Screen, then select it. Depending on the device, it will connect to KLIK and may display a warning that there is no Internet access. Ignore the warning and move to the next step.
Now, open a browser window and enter the KLIK’s IP address as displayed on the standby screen, into the address bar. Press Enter and the KLIK Login page will appear in the browser.
In the event of any difficulty, just double-check that the laptop is still connected to the KLIK and that the IP address was entered correctly.
Once the Login page is displayed, enter the password to access the setup menu; by default, the password is admin. Click on the Sign-in button to reveal the menu.
Note that the setup menu layout varies slightly by model, and may not look exactly like the CLASSIC version shown here.
Select Wireless Settings on the left, then click on the Wi-Fi tab in the top-right corner of the page to reveal the Wi-Fi Connection controls.
Click on the Scan for Wi-Fi button to initiate the search; it could take several seconds up to a minute to display found networks in the list.
In addition to the network name, KLIK displays the relative signal strength of the Wi-Fi signal in the right column.
Note: A minimum of 60% signal strength is required for stable Wi-Fi operation, with higher levels delivering better overall performance and minimal interruptions. If the available signal strength is below 60% the KLIK should either be moved closer to the Wi-Fi access point or connected by Ethernet.
Select the desired network by clicking on it, then enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
KLIK will connect to the selected Wi-Fi and the new settings will be reflected on the standby screen. The network connection is displayed as Wireless, alongside the name of the Wi-Fi network, the IP address will change and Station Mode will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Since the KLIK is now connected to the room’s Wi-Fi, it is no longer broadcasting its own Wi-Fi name. As a result, any devices connected to KLIK’s Wi-Fi will also be disconnected, including the device used for setup.
