Important new features coming to KLIKBoks HUB (KB1200) require a new core firmware update procedure.
Core Update Process
The KB1200 has been upgraded with several new and important features, including a cloud CMS, Digital Signage, and more. Preparation for these new features necessitates a core firmware update process to install new files. This process must be followed in order to apply needed security and performance updates in addition to new feature updates and is recommended for all users.
Core OS Update
Upgrading to version 4.2.5.032 requires that core Android OS files be updated and added. The following steps will guide you through the firmware update process.
- Download the KLIK_v4.2.5.032.zip firmware archive and extract the install.img file to the root directory of a USB flash drive with a minimum of 1GB of available storage space (requires WinZip or other archive unpacking tool).
- Power off the KB1200 (KLIKBoks HUB) by detaching the DC voltage power supply cable from the device.
- Insert the USB flash drive into either USB port on the front panel.
- Hold down the KB1200 power button and reconnect the power supply while watching the screen for status.
- Release the power button when the update process has begun as indicated on the screen.
- Allow the update process to complete and the KB1200 to restart, showing the first-time startup screen. Select "Don't show again" followed by Start Now.
