All KLIK models include KLIKStream, the network-based screen sharing application. KLIKStream allows anyone to view the current screen mirroring session that's displayed on the big screen, right inside a browser window on their own device.
Prerequisites
KLIKStream screen sharing requires the presentation to be streamed to KLIK using the KLIK app; AirPlay and Miracast sessions cannot be shared beyond the KLIK screen. Also, viewers must be on the same network as the KLIK, which will generally be the case in most installations.
How to Start A KLIKStream session
Before starting a KLIKStream session, ensure that all of the viewers are made aware of the IP address of the KLIK they will be viewing. It may be helpful to write the IP address on a whiteboard or pass it out on printed notes.
The presenter starts a screen mirroring session from Windows or Mac, using the KLIK app. While the presentation is displayed, other users may open a browser window and enter the IP address of the KLIK hosting the screen mirroring session. The KLIK Control Center will open inside the browser.
Click on the KLIKStream button to launch the function. The KLIKStream window will open in a new tab.
The KLIKStream window will display a wallpaper if there is no current mirroring session active. Once a mirroring session begins, the wallpaper will be replaced with the session screens. Along the bottom of the display are four controls.
The drop-down control on the left sets the refresh rate for the displayed screens. By default, the rate is set at 3 seconds. This rate may be increased to 1 seconds, or reduced to 10 seconds. Refresh rate may affect network performance with large numbers of viewers. In most cases, the 3 second rate represents a good balance between refresh and modest network requirements.
The next control to the right of the refresh rate control allows the viewer to pause the display refresh. This is helpful where the viewer wishes to review the slide in detail. Press a second time to restart automated refresh.
The next control allows for a screen capture to be made of the displayed content, and save it in the form of an image file. The file is named with the date and time it was captured, and saved to the local Downloads folder on the PC.
The next control allows the user to maximize the size of the shared content, for better viewing. This is especially helpful on smaller screens, such as found on smartphones and tablets.
Viewers may simply close the browser window or tab to exit KLIKStream.
